Artist verification
Verification confirms that you are the artist or represent them officially. You send one request, place a link in a social profile bio, and a moderator checks it.
What verification gives you
- Verified Artist badge: an official profile on DJMetry.
- Profile control: edit the artist card, socials, genres and the Bandsintown link.
- Fan actions on your BIO Link: Follow and Vote buttons appear on your page.
- Your name in links: only the verified owner of an artist can use the BIO Link address reserved for that artist.
Before you start
- Sign in to your DJMetry account. No paid plan is required.
- Have the artist links ready: Spotify, Apple Music and Beatport. All three are required.
- Have a link to at least one official artist profile ready: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or X.
- Use a working contact email: the result of the review is sent there.
An account with a booking agency cannot apply for artist verification. Unlink the agency or apply from another email.
Submit the request
Open the form
Go to the verification page and click Apply for verification. If you are signed out, click Sign in to apply first. In your dashboard, the same request starts from Submit verification request in the profile section.
Find the artist
Type at least 2 characters in Search artist and choose the artist. If the artist is not in the catalog, tick I couldn't find my artist in DJMetry and continue with the links.
Add the music links
Paste the artist pages into Spotify Artist URL, Apple Music Artist URL and Beatport Artist URL. Each link must lead to the right service.
Say who you are
Under How are you related to the artist? choose the option that fits: the artist, a manager or agent, a label, or an official representative.
Add social profiles
Fill in Social profiles (required). One official artist profile is enough: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or X. You can add more.
Add contacts and confirm
Enter Contact email (required). Website and Comment for moderator are optional; the comment can be up to 300 characters. Tick both confirmation boxes at the end of the form.
Send it
Click Submit request. You will see your personal confirmation link on the next screen.
Confirm the profile with the bio link
This is how a moderator sees that the social profile is really yours.
Copy the link
On the success screen click Copy.
Place it in a bio
Add the link to the bio of an official artist profile listed in your request: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or X.
Keep it there
Leave the link in place until the review ends. It works for 14 days; the screen shows the exact date.
Opening the link does not verify anyone. A moderator checks every request by hand, and the link page shows Wait for verification.
Review and result
A review usually takes up to 72 hours. You get the result by email and as a notification.
- Approved
- The artist profile is yours, and the verified features open in your dashboard.
- Needs changes
- Your profile shows Message from moderator. Fix what it asks for and tick I fixed the issues.
- Rejected
- Correct the data and use Submit new request.
If something goes wrong
- Too many requests
- You can send one request every 24 hours. Try again the next day.
- A request is already under review
- Wait for the result: a second request is not needed.
- This artist is already verified
- Choose another artist, or contact support if you think this is a mistake.
- The link is not accepted
- Check that the link belongs to the right service, for example a Spotify link in the Spotify field.
- The confirmation link expired
- Contact support, and include the artist name.
Questions
Does verification cost anything?
No. The request has no plan requirement.
Can a manager or label apply?
Yes. Choose your role in the form and place the link in a bio of the official artist profile.
Is Instagram required?
No. Any one of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or X is enough. A moderator checks the request by hand.
